Thank you for choosing to learn with Asiya Sanctuary. This Student Agreement sets out what you can expect from me, and what I ask of you, when you enrol in an Asiya Sanctuary course or pathway. By enrolling, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you buy. If anything is unclear, email me at [email protected].
Who can enrol
Courses are for adults aged 18 and over. When you enrol, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that the details you give me are true.
Your access
- When your payment goes through, you'll receive login details for the Asiya course portal. Your login is for you alone. Please don't share it.
- Courses are self-paced, so you can learn in your own time.
- If I ever need to retire a course, I'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can finish it and download your workbooks.
- I may update or improve course content from time to time. Any changes won't take away the core content you paid for.
Payments
- Prices are shown in Australian dollars.
- You can pay in full by card, or use Afterpay where it's available. If you choose Afterpay, your instalment agreement is with Afterpay, under their own terms.
- Please read my refund policy before you enrol. Because you receive instant access to the course materials, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are never affected.
Assessments and certificates
- Most courses finish with a practical assessment, usually a short video of you practising the technique, and I'll give you personal feedback.
- If someone else appears in your video, such as a friend or family member you're practising on, please make sure they are 18 or over and have agreed to be filmed and to the video being sent to me.
- When you complete a course and pass its assessment, you'll receive an Asiya Sanctuary certificate of completion.
- Asiya Sanctuary certificates are not nationally accredited (VET) qualifications. Where a course offers an optional face-to-face workshop for professional certification, the details are on the course page.
Practising safely
- All therapies and practices taught in these courses are complementary. They are offered for relaxation and wellbeing, and are never used to diagnose, treat or cure any medical or psychological condition, or as a replacement for medical care.
- Please practise only on adults who have given their consent, and follow the safety guidance and contraindications in each course. If someone is pregnant or has a medical condition you're unsure about, please refer them to their doctor or an appropriately qualified practitioner.
- Before you see paying clients, you are responsible for holding the right insurance and meeting any rules that apply where you work.
- If you have a health condition yourself, please check with your doctor before doing any hands-on practice.
Respecting the course content
All course materials, including videos, lessons, workbooks and images, belong to Asiya Sanctuary and are protected by copyright. They are for your personal learning only. Please don't copy, share, record, resell or teach from them. If course content is shared or misused, I may remove your access without a refund.
Our learning community
Please be kind and respectful in comments and community spaces. I may remove comments, or in serious cases your access, if they are abusive, unsafe or promotional.
Responsibility
I take great care to make my courses accurate and safe. To the extent the law allows, Asiya Sanctuary is not responsible for loss or injury that results from using the techniques in a way that goes against the course guidance, or from treatments you give to others. Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your privacy
I look after your personal information as explained in my privacy policy.
Changes to this agreement
I may update this agreement from time to time. The version that applies to you is the one shown on this page when you enrol.
The law that applies
This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
